Do you identify with Angela in her devotion on Monday?
Do you have an attitude?
Do you disrespect your parents or other authority figures in your life?
Do you act like the world revolves around you?
Are you concerned mainly about what you can get for yourself without thinking about how others are affected?
Are you one person on Sunday morning and another person the rest of the week?

Most of you have no doubt heard Rush of Fools' song "Undo." If you found yourself answering "yes" to most of the questions above, let the words of this song be your prayer to God. Invite Him to "undo" what you've become.

He loves you and He wants to give you His best, but He can only do that when you're willing for Him to.

"Undo" by Rush of Fools

I've been here before, now here I am again
Standing at the door, praying You'll let me back in
To label me a prodigal would be
Only scratching the surface of who I've been known to be

[Chorus]
Turn me around pick me up
Undo what I've become
Bring me back to the place
Of forgiveness and grace
I need You, need Your help
I can't do this myself
You're the only one who can undo
What I've become

I focused on the score, but I could never win
Trying to ignore, a life of hiding my sin
To label me a hypocrite would be
Only scratching the surface of who I've been known to be

[Chorus]
Turn me around pick me up
Undo what I've become
Bring me back to the place
Of forgiveness and grace
I need You, need Your help
I can't do this myself
You're the only one who can undo
What I've become

Make every step lead me back to
The sovereign way that You

[Chorus]
Turn me around pick me up
Undo what I've become
Bring me back to the place
Of forgiveness and grace
I need You, need Your help
I can't do this myself
You're the only one who can undo
What I've become

"He loves you and He wants to give you His best, but He can only do that when you're willing for Him to."

How do I allow Him to take control of my life?

Thanks for your question! To let God take control of your life means you're willing to let go of control, to let go of doing things your own way.

Simply put, to let God take control of your life:
1. Be honest with God - talk to Him about where you're at
2. Be willing to change as necessary
3. Listen/watch for His direction (by reading the Bible, praying, and spending time with other Christians)
4. Follow what He shows you to do

To begin, you might pray a prayer like this:

God I want you to take control of my life. I want Your best for me. I admit I have done things that have not honored You: (name them). I have followed my own way. Please forgive me for these things. Now I want to go Your way. Please take control and lead me on the path of living right. Help me live my life for You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Does that help?
